Happy Easter from all at Holmewood Care and Nursing Home in Cockermouth
Here at Holmewood Care and Nursing Home in Cockermouth, we all had a great Easter with lots of chocolate eggs to eat. Extra decorations were put in place to brighten the home over the Easter weekend.

No staff changes at the present time Holmewood Care and Nursing Home in Cockermouth, but we do have had a couple of staff wanting to pursue their NVQ’s in Care. We wish them all the best with their studies.
Birthdays at Nursing Home in Cockermouth
It has been such a busy month for birthday’s we have had four birthdays this month. I am going to give an extra shout out to Mary Huddart who came down stairs especially for her birthday and to enjoy a glass of champagne.
Special thank you goes out to our Catherine Butterworth in the kitchen. Catherine made an amazing horse racing track birthday cake for Raymond. It was fabulous well-done Catherine.
Most of the residents at Holmewood Care and Nursing Home in Cockermouth have had their second vaccine jab. Again a big thank you goes out to Cockermouth Surgery for their huge efforts and programme for rolling out the vaccine programme within the Cockermouth area.
Visiting at Holmewood Care and Nursing Home in Cockermouth
From the 12th April each resident is entitled to have two visitors. Either together or on separate occasions when visiting. Young children are allowed. Residents cannot wait! Visiting continues to be in the front entrance only of Holmewood. Full PPE is required and a Lateral Flow Test prior to seeing your loved one.
Our hairdressing lady, Wendy will be back very soon. We plan this to start from the 15th April.
Its a fish and chips supper for our residents on Friday the 16th.
We cannot wait for a bit of normality to come back. We hope to see you all soon.
