Churchlake Care Group – Another step nearer normality

Churchlake Care Group were delighted to welcome visitors back into our Homes this month. Care home visits were part of the Prime Minister’s roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions.
Each resident in our nine care homes can nominate one individual to visit them indoors. During these visits residents will be able to hold hands. They will also be able to make repeat visits.
The named individual will be required to arrive half an hour before their pre-booked visit. This is so a lateral Flow Covid-19 test can be carried out. They will also need to be prepared to wear PPE during the visit and avoid close contact.

Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock said:

“This is just the first step to getting back to where we want to be. We need to make sure we keep the infection rate down, to allow greater visiting in a step-by-step way in the future.

UK Vaccination Programme

Restrictions on visits have been in place during national lockdown to protect vulnerable residents. While coronavirus cases remain high, the number of infections is falling. The UK’s vaccination programme has seen every care home resident offered a jab, with almost 27 million vaccinations carried out in total.

Churchlake Care Group – Outdoor, pod and screen visits

Outdoor, pod and screen visits will be able to continue in line with the published guidance which has been in place during lockdown, meaning there will be chances for residents to see more than just the one person they nominate.”
These measures, based on the science. They represent a balance between the risk of infections and the importance of visiting for the physical and mental wellbeing of residents and their families. We, at Churchlake Care Group, are delighted to be able to facilitate these visits.
Please contact your loved one’s care home to discuss this further. Please be aware that these visits are still subject to our Homes remaining Covid free. Visits are carried out at the discretion of the Manager of each individual Home.
