Welcome to Hames Hall Care Home in Cockermouth

Hames Hall is a gracious country house of esteemed origins. Built around 1820, it was designed by Robert Smirke an eminent architect of the time, who also listed the extension to the British Museum amongst his greatest achievements along with more local constructions such as The Citadel in Carlisle’s city centre and Carlisle’s Eden Bridge.

Set within three acres of its own land, the Hall sits behind open pasture land at the front with open and unbroken views over Cockermouth towards the Lakeland Fells from the garden at the rear. Hames Hall is located between Cockermouth and Papcastle, about ten minutes’ walk to the centre of Cockermouth.

About Hames Hall
