September Catch Up with Elizabeth House in Bury
At Elizabeth House in Bury, the staff have been keeping us all busy and tiring us all out with lots of activities. We are all missing our families and hope that it won’t be long until you can come and visit us and join in with the fun. https://churchlakecare.com/elizabeth-house-care-home-in-bury/
Crispy Cake Madness!
Who knew that rice crispies and melted chocolate could be so delicious? And also so very messy! Our residents really enjoyed making a rice crispies traybake but loved eating their efforts even more. As you can see from the pictures, the residents had eaten half of the mix before it could set – Very messy but very tasty!
Elizabeth House All Stars!
Our residents have really enjoyed our football games this month. It keeps our bodies moving and gives us some much needed fun and laughter. Who needs a football net when you have a wash basket? Talk about improvising!
Arts and Crafts Elizabeth House in Bury
We have been busy making Halloween decorations with the staff, we are going to hang our decorations around the home. The staff have been telling us about the Halloween costumes that they are going to wear – we think they look scary enough without a costume!
We have been enjoying watching different movies this month. We have watched westerns and a few musicals. The favourite was definitely mamma mia, we all enjoyed this and loved singing along to some of our favourites by Abba! The staff keep suggesting Christmas films as they are all very excited – but we have told them its much too early!
Our maintenance has been giving our front entrance a spruce up with some bright white gloss. He’s done a lovely job but, there was more paint on him than there was on the walls! We have all been checking on him to make sure he is doing a good job!
Greek Afternoon Elizabeth House in Bury
Our lovely cook Anila who is originally from Greece; has been teaching us some Greek dancing. We enjoyed watching and joining in – it was so much fun! Luckily there was no smashed plates at the end, but you never know- there’s always next time!
We hope that all our loved ones are keeping safe and please know, that we are too. The staff have been keeping us busy and occupied but, we still manage to get up to some mischief too.
