We believe in a whole person approach to care that focuses on the individual needs and wishes of all of our residents. We strive to help our people maintain their hobbies and interests as much as possible, with extensive gardens and patios to the rear of the home and the charming town centre only a few minutes’ walk away, we support everyday activities such as gardening or shopping, and trips to cafes or the church.
Our fully trained staff care for residents in every sense of the word, both physically and mentally, whilst preserving their dignity and independence. Trained nurses are always on call to support our care staff and a doctor can be summoned 24 hours a day if required.
We have regular visits from the hairdresser and barber, clergy, and health professionals such as opticians, chiropodists, dentists and podiatrists to make life as stress-free as possible for you.
The accommodation is made up of 20 single rooms which are all centrally heated, with a wash-hand basin and 11 with en-suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture if they wish and to make their space their own. All rooms have an emergency
call system, attended by 24 hour waking staff.
Meals are ‘home cooked’ and prepared in the kitchen – using fresh meat, vegetables, fruit and locally sourced produce whenever possible. The menu is varied, and individual preferences and special dietary needs can be catered for.
Our home is a big part of the local community, with regular guests and visitors and we would love you to be one of them.
